This year was a bit of a flop for Halloween. We had a big trip planned for the same weekend so I threw something together last minute. I was in the costume store with Wendy trying to decide what to be. It had to be easy because we were leaving for Portland that same night! I really didn't put much thought into it this year. I noticed a pair of Harry Potter glasses int he store and thought "Aha! Alfred kinda looks like Harry Potter...we can totally pull this off!!" I got the glasses and a wand. A few days later I went to Value Village and found mathcing ties, sweaters, and wizard robes. We got all dressed up and looked pretty darn cute.

We went to the Tap Root for Wendys Burlesque show. I was a little worried about taking Alfred there because its a little risque and a little corny, but very fun!! We arrived and the place was packed to the gills. Thank goodness some friends invited us to sit at their table. We had some amazing calamari and a few beers. The show was great and we had such a good time. I am really glad we went. There were very few noteworthy costumes. I was hoping to see some really great Avatar people. Luckily we will be in Portland on Halloween night and hopefully see some good costumes! Now off to the airport for a red eye flight we go.
