Birthday Blues....

28...wow! Almost 30! I am very proud to be where I am at 28. I have a great job and my own place. I am working out 3-4 times a week (for the first time in my life). However being single on your Birthday kinda sucks. Mom got me tickets to Billy Currington in April!! My plans kind of fell through because I didn't know who I wanted to hang out with on my bday. Eric ended up taking me to Mooses Tooth and I hung out with Nikkia later on that evening. I was pretty lonely on my bday this year. I miss Amy alot on days like this. We used to have so much fun on birthdays!! I have so many great memories of silly times with that girl. Miss her alot today!Just don't have that many girlfriends up here, it really sucks. I will work on making some! Miss my family too. The hardest part about living here is missing out on spending special days with my fam. I'm always a little sad on those days!! All in all I am happy to be 28...no regrets!!

Dating...ugh!!

Well I have been busy with the online dating and trying to stay positive about it. I still hang out with Eric, however, it's time to go on some dates!! I met a nice guy that works as a Hunting and Fishing guide. He was very handsome and smart. However, I could not read him very well at all. He would be out of town for 9 months out of the year. I knew right away his schedule wouldn't work for me, but I thought I would give him a chance. He was just ok, but didn't seem very interested. Went on so many quick meet up coffee dates. No one is sparking my interest and I can tell some guys are after sex only. NOT INTERESTED, sorry. I need more....so much more!! I had an interesting date at Sportsmans Wearhouse. We met there he tried on some jeans and never called me again...lol! I really need this, it is making me a stronger person. When I meet someone I will appreciate them so much more because I had to go through all this silliness to find them. On one date, I was going to lie and say I had to use the restroom then just leave. However, he launched into a story about a girl that had done that to him (damn she beat me to it). I had to endure the rest of the date and our food couldn't come fast enough, lol. I did speed dating with my friend Gil. Lucky dog met a fabulous girl before we even got started on our dates. Gil is such a great guy and I am so excited for him. She's a doll and I hope it goes somewhere. I, however, had several awful 5 minute dates with about 15 men. One guy was a cop..he was ok, about 1/2 were older than my Dad, a few were decent. However no one my type at all. Not a single outdoorsy guy in the bunch!! Except for my friend Gil, he was by far the best pic for the ladies!! I will keep trying just thought I would share some of my funny dating stories!! The search goes on........
