I was so excited for our trip to Homer this weekend. Alfred had a 3 day weekend and Angela was up from San Diego!! We borrowed my roommates camper and truck and started the long drive to Homer. My roommates 1980's truck is not the most comfortable ride in the world, but it did have a nice bench seat for snuggling :0. We stayed at a beautiful campground and had unbelievable weather all weekend. My good friend Ally from work was there camping with her family. She has a big family with a bunch of nieces and nephews. They were so cute...it made me miss playing with all my cousins when we were little!! We rode bikes around on the spit and relaxed by the fire. Some girls from the Rugby team came down too. We finally made it the "Spit", we didn't see what the big deal is. Its just a bar, but we got our tee-shirts anyways! I wish we would've gone fishing, but it just didn't come together this trip.

I felt a little bad for Angela on this trip. I just met Alfred a month ago and we are very affectionate. I did not want her to feel left out or uncomfortable. We were happy to have her along. I have known Angela since freshman year in high school. She has always been a great friend. She lives in San Diego now so we visit each other at least once a year. She is the only friend that has been up to visit me. I wish more people would come, but I understand...its a long way and not cheap.

When we got back to Anchorage the weather was still beautiful! Wendy, Angela, Alfred and I all went hiking in Girdwood (Winner Creek) on Monday. We were hoping to eat at Double muskey, but it was closed! We had a great day and ate some good pizza at Chair 5 instead. Angela stayed a few more days then I shipped her back to sunny Southern California. Her visit was great and I can't wait to see her again!!
